BASKETBALL CLINICS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN.

BASKETBALL CLINICS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN.

SA Country Basketball Development Officer, Peter Todd spent last week in Mount Gambier running a series of Clinics for Years 3 and 4 children throughout schools in the district.

The Clinics presented the children with opportunities to learn new skills in ball handling, body movement and shooting techniques. The children then engaged in fun activities and mini competitions.

These schools programs were conducted in school gymnasiums this year rather than at the Stadium or on outdoor courts and hence added to the success of the sessions.

Peter Todd commented on the standard of the indoor multi-purpose facilities becoming available at the majority of schools in the district and that sports programs will no longer be restricted by weather conditions. He also complimented the children on their cooperative behaviour and enthusiasm towards physical activity.

Todd returns to Mount Gambier in late September to assist the Mount Gambier High School Basketball Focus class to run a Primary Schools Basketball Carnival.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
