Riyadi - Beirut 3rd in the FIBA - Asia Champions Cup for the 2nd consecutive year
For the 2nd consecutive year Riyadi - Beirut finished 3rd in the FIBA – Asia Champions Cup after a big battle against ASU from Jordan .
Riyadi needed an extra time to secure the win , after leading easily in the first quarter , ASU bounced back and reduced the score minute after minute to tie the game 59-59 in the 4th , ASU continued its run and took the lead but Riyadi tied at the end of the regular time 71-71 to go to overtime.
In the overtime Fadi EL Khatib took over and helped his team to secure the precious win at the end on the score of 82-78.
El Khatib top scored the game with 36 points, in an all-round shooting show, and more importantly scored eight of them in the extended five minutes of the game.
