WRFL Unsung Hero Award
Simon Kingswell - Yarraville Seddon Eagles.
Simon Kingswell is hard not to notice, his cheery smile and enthusiasm is there for all to see. He loves footy and in particular the Yarraville Seddon Eagles Football Club. Adminstrator Jeff King wrote in his nomination” Simon came to Yarraville Seddon Eagles in 2004 from Tasmania where he had spent the previous nine years coaching with North Hobart Junior Football Club. At YSE he has coached U10, U12, U14 and U16 teams. In addition to coaching he has been on the committee and assisted with ground set-up on match days, team runner, water boy, trainer, timekeeper and canteen assistant. Not all at once but we don’t think that there’s one job that Simon has not helped out with and this extends to the senior teams as well as the junior teams. Simon is also involved with cricket in summer, and WRFL Junior Interleague for three years. He’s also been involved with the WRFL Multicultural and Junior Development programs which has involved conducting clinics in the western suburbs”.
Simon is now in the running to be the 2010 WRFL Unsung Hero which will be announced at the Division One Grand final lunch. Nominate someone from your club by sending their story to Kevin Hillier kevin@howdypartnersmedia.com.au plus a photo in jpeg format.
