STATE SAPSASA REPRESENTATIVES.
Two Mount Gambier junior basketballers have been chosen to represent South Australia in the 2010 National SPSASA Championships to be played in Darwin from August 7th to 13th. They are Rachael Hines who attends the Glenburnie Primary School and Tenison Woods College student Brad Rathjen. Both players are in the top bracket in terms of talent in their age group in South Australia.
These state teams are usually dominated by city players thus making these selections most impressive achievements.
Alex Walker of St. Anthony’s in Millicent is also a member of the Girls’ State team.
There will be lots of travelling in store for this trio over the next three months as they prepare for the National Championships.
