Smith into State Squad

After a stellar performance down forward for the Kookaburra's, Darling Downs Demons Under 16 captain Josh Smith has been selected in the 30-man Queensland squad, which will be cut down to just 24 over the coming weeks.

Smith was a stand out, at the recent Country Championships for the Demons, leading the way, where he also took out the Darling Downs Coaches Award, Players Player Award and also received Kookaburra Selection. Smith was used as a small rovering forward at the State Championships for the Kookaburra's and played this role very well. Smith will be used as a small forward for the Scorpions and we wish Josh all the best in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for results, full squad listed on the aflq website www.aflq.com.au
