Friday Night Lights continue with Bondi Shamrocks hosting UNSW-Easts Stingrays at Mahoney 7:10pm. UNSW Stingrays come into the game with 3 wins which has been the best record since the 2006 season whilst the Shamrocks have a solitary win. This is very much a must-win match for the Shamrocks to get their season back on track. We expect the Shamrocks to be fired up for this game with the Stingrays going with their impressive momentum beating Wollongong 189 - 7. So far the Stingrays have the "most improved" team tag.
On Saturday, Balmain host Sydney University in match of the round. Sydney University dreams came back to earth losing by 37 points to Newtown (67-30) last week whilst the Dockers beat the Shamrocks 101 - 0. With all to play for on both sides it will be a good match.
Another match of interest is Newtown hosting Wollongong. Newtown had a very impressive win over Sydney University by 37 points to recover their season whilst Wollongong always full of enthusiasm will be looking to play a team up the top end of the ladder.
In the last game the Southern Power host the Western Wolves. The Wolves are starting to get their season on a roll whilst the Power have strung a couple of victories together and enjoyed their weekend off in preparation for the big game.
Macquarie University Bravehearts have the bye.
