Seymour v Euroa in football and netball commence at 1pm on Anzac Day, Sunday 25th April 2010. The Reserves and B Reserve Netball are due to start at 1pm which will be followed by the Anzac Day Observance Ceremony with flags to be flown at half mast, the reciting of "the Ode", one minute silence in rememberence of our wonderful forefathers and then the playing of the Last Post. It is expected that the Senior game will commence at about 2:50pm which will be followed by the Under 18's in footy and the 17 and Under's in netball to be played under lights. These Anzac Day matches are to pay tribute to the sacrifice of the servicemen and women of Australia and to celebrat the Anzac Spirit - courage, sacrifice, endurance and mateship.
Congratulations to the hosting Club Seymour and to the Euroa club in playing these games on this significant day. Lions President Trevor GUNN has announced that all military servicemen or ex-servicemen displaying their service medals will be provided with free entry into ground.
If per chance you are unable to be at Kings Park on Anzac Day, the game will be broadcast live on Radio station 98.5 FM. Also, if you are not at the game, please take some time out through the day to have a minute of silence in rememberence of our wonderful Anzacs.
