Spotswood sent a message to the competition that they are up and running for 2010 and ready to defend their title and the big man in the middle is on fire. Lachlan McGhie, son of the great Robert, was absolutely dominant in the ruck and around the ground as the Woodsmen overpowered the Colts in the match of the day. He capped off a fine display with a 60 metre goal in the last quarter after a tireless display for four quarters. Lachlan received the AscotVale Sports and Trophies Medal for best on ground as well as a dinner voucher from the Tigers Clubhouse in Hoppers Crossing.
