A RESERVE GRADES.

Men’s A Reserve minor premier Panthers scored a comfortable 59-32 win over Cougars/ Stags in the Grand Final. Strong defensive work by Panthers held the Stags scorers and then set up strategies to score from inside through Steve Csono, despite tenacious defence, and Tyson Kettle from beyond the arc. Ben Tremelling led the scoring for Stags with 13 points. Csono was judged MVP for the Grand Final.

The Stags however enjoyed success when dedicated Adam Nicholson shared the MVP Award for the season with Kingsley Clark each polling 17 votes. Matthew Berkefeld was runner- up on 14 votes.

This award completed a most successful season for Clark, who returned to basketball halfway the regulation competition in A Reserve and then became a key player in the SECBL premier side.

Panthers Purple won the Women’s A Reserve Premiership against Cougars after finishing runner-up to them in several previous seasons. Purple opened well and shot confidently. They managed to respond to the efforts of Cougars as they tried to take control and continued to play an up-tempo style. This result was some compensation for Coach Stacey Fox who was injured during the season. Abby and Sam Loughhead dominated the scoring with tallies of 18 and 21 respectively. State junior Georgia Green on 12 led the scoring for Cougars

Abby Loughhead was awarded the MVP for the final.

Maddi Wilson completed a fantastic season by being named the Most Valuable player in A Reserve for the season. She scored an outstanding 28 votes. Chantelle Weir of Roos was runner- up with a total of 18.
