Central ABL Media Coordinator

Basketball SA is looking for a motivated person with a passion for basketball to fulfill the role of Central ABL Media Coordinator.

The role includes:

  • Communicating results, statistics and news items to the media
  • Writing or obtaining game previews, game reviews and news items for publication on the Central ABL website and in the game-day program, “Hang Time”
  • Arranging candidates for radio interviews
  • Proposing other ways of promoting the Central ABL

The successful candidate should have an interest in sports journalism, an ability to communicate effectively, and an understanding of the Central ABL and basketball statistics.

The role involves approximately 10 hours work a week from February to August and attracts an honorarium that will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
