Our Lady of the Southern Cross College in Dalby recently collected their fourth consecutive Dalby Swans AFL Primary School competition Grand Final win. With the competition contested between 12 teams from across the three primary schools in the Dalby region. The Our Lady of the Southern Cross Stars were the stand out team throughout the competition, going through undefeated.
The Stars were tested in the first half of the Grand Final were the Dalby State Hawks threatened to provide the spectators with a major upset. With the Stars playing in front of 200 plus fellow students, they lifted for the last 2 quarters and ran away eventual winners by 41 points. Harry Milford was awarded with Best on Ground Honours, booting 6 goals for the Stars, while Lauren O’Toole and Brayden Alexander collected plenty of football through the centre. Hawks players Kendall Featherstone, Alex Morris and Travis Tate were outstanding all day and kept fighting right to the end.

Other Results for the day were:
Dalby SS Eagles 2.3 (15) def. OLOSCC Saints 1.1 (7) to finish in 3rd position. OLOSCC Bulldogs 1.1 (7) defeated the Dalby SS Lions 0.5 (5) to finish in 5th. The OLOSCC Kangaroos were too strong for the OLOSCC Blues defeating them 35 points to 0, to finish the competition in 7th. Ninth position was taken out by the Dalby South Magpies who won 1.2 (8) to 1.1 (7) over the OLOSCC Swans. Playing off for 11th position were the OLOSCC Demons and the Dalby South Crows, were the Crows ran out victors 8.3 (51) to 2.1 (13).
