North Harbor vs Canterbury Over 35 Mixed
The game started off with both sides attacking and defending very well. After 15 minutes there was still no score and tensions were very high.
North Harbor #7 collided with #13 from Canterbury as he was diving over for a try. They eye balled each other then wrestled on the ground for about 20 seconds. After help from both sides coming in to stop the incident from flaring up, the referee made the right decision by sin binning both players for a period of time.
The intensity went to another level with both teams down to five players and more room to move. Both teams worked hard in defence with no tries being scored while both players were in the bin. The halftime hooter went with the score being 0-0.
Second Half.
Canterbury put in on Harbor with # 14 breaking Harbors defence running through a big gap to score a great individual try. 1-0 Canterbury.
North Harbors former All Black Glen Osbourne steps up to the plate with a great scoop from dummy half and pass off to #1 for the try. 1-1
Immediately North Harbor #9 creates a great opportunity by stepping his defender and going over for a great individual try. 2-1 Harbor
North Harbor's #13 comes on fresh from the box and takes on the tiring Canterbury defence and scores Final score 3-1
