The Murray Bombers up at Echuca have planned for 3 practice games leading up to their Round One clash with Seymour at Echuca on Easter Saturday 3rd April. Echuca's practice games commenced on Saturday March 13th when they took on South Bendigo and then this Saturday 20th March they take on Eaglehawk at Gunbower and then on Saturday 27th March again at Gunbower they take on the powerful metropolitan club Ormond.
Mooroopna have two games planned with a week-off prior to Round One where the Cats are home to Euroa. Mooroopna have played Eltham out at Undera on Saturday 13th March and then this week-end, but on the Sunday, Sunday 21st March, the Cats are back at Undera to take on the Wangaratta Magpies.
Tatura much the same as Mooroopna with two practice games and then a week off prior to Round One. The Bulldogs are drawn to play Benalla under the lights at the Benalla Showgrounds on Easter Saturday night, 3rd April. The Bulldogs practice games are as follows :- V the Wangaratta Magpies (where Paul KIRBY and Ben COSGRIFF enjoyed two flags) these games are at Tatura on Saturday 13th March and then on Saturday 20th March the Bullies take on the Pidgeons (Yarrawonga) at the Rumbalara ground (North Shepparton) although there is some doubt whether this game will actually be played. ** Contact Tat to get the correct info ********
Shepparton United played Tocumwal at the Rumbalara ground Thursday week ago and recorded a good win against last years Murray League Premiers. On Saturday (13th March) the Demons took on the Northcote Park club in 3 games which commenced at 11am. Northcote Park won the Senior game by one solitary goal in an excellent hit out for both clubs. This Saturday 20th March, United play the Wangaratta Rovers, out at the Tallygaroopa ground again with 3 games and again with an 11am start.
Seymour kicked of their year on Thursday evening (March 11th) with an Intraclub game at Kings Park and then they take on East Burwood on Saturday 20th March and Northcote Park on Saturday the 27th. Both games to be at Kings Park.
Our reigning Premiers Mansfield take on the Premiers of the strong Northern Football League, Heidelberg, this Saturday 20th March at the Eagles home ground in Mansfield.
Kyabram's Seniors & Reserves play Elmore at Elmore this Saturday while the Premiership Under 18 Bombers play the Assumption College senior team, also at Elmore commencing at 10am. On Friday 26th March, Ky are playing the former GVFL club Tongala, under lights at the Ky oval with 3 games commencing at 3pm, 5pm & the senior game at 7pm
