A new image for a new decade....

At the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday January 20^th, SUA Chairman Jeff Jones unveiled the new logo that will appear on the uniforms from 2010.

In presenting the logo to the members Jeff said, “This new logo embraces every element of the Southern Umpires. We have the goal posts, the boundary line and of course the football, representing our goal, boundary and field umpires. The design also embodies the colours of our uniform for 2010 and beyond.” Jeff explained that the Board’s decision to update the logo came from a suggestion from Greg Watsford, a current running umpire, Life Member and former President, to update our image. Adam “Dutchie” Holland, a current running umpire with the SUA, was responsible for the design.

“With our new uniform and new logo our umpires can go into the coming season and beyond with a renewed identity and sense of pride,” Jeff concluded.
